About the project
Just Design provides design and tailoring services for custom blinds, manufacture and installation of sun protection systems. Each team has more than 10 years of experience in designing apartments, houses, hotels, terraces, cafes, restaurants.
The project site is based on CMS ModX and was created more than 5 years ago.
Most consumers now have smartphones as their primary device, so any site needs to adapt to mobile screens. It affects not only usability, but also SEO indicators: the number of rejections decreases, behavioral factors improve, and the site's position in search engines increases.
We faced the task of updating the main page of the site according to the created design.
Taking into account all of the above, we started implementing layout by design project and implementing adaptability.

Analysis of the existing site:
- Inspecting the HTML and CSS structure to see how best to integrate the new design.
- Examining the CMS ModX on which the site is based to ensure compatibility and effective integration.

Layout using HTML and CSS:
- Apply new design to HTML code.
- Layout adaptation to ensure correct display on various devices, in particular on smartphones.

Adaptability to mobile screens:
- Implemented CSS media queries for mobile responsiveness.
- Optimization of the interface and placement of content for convenient use on smartphones and tablets.

Resolving issues with restyles:
- Analysis of existing styles and redesigning them to match the new design.
- Fix style conflicts and make them work with new elements.

Testing and Optimization:
- Testing the website for different browsers and devices.
- Bug fixes and site speed optimization.

Implementation of changes:
- Deploying the updated code to the server to publish the new version of the main page.
Minor improvements
The site had good accessibility indicators, so there is almost no need for improvement in this area. There were only a few bugfixes, like adding a "tel" prefix to phone number links or adding descriptions to empty buttons.
The core JS library is jQuery, so all new functionality has been implemented using it.
Results
The work done allows Just Design to maintain the relevance of its web space, providing a convenient and efficient interface for users, regardless of the device they use.
